You wake up at noon to see your sister working out,
The door is locked so to be let in you really have to shout!
After exercise is a nice bowl of Wheatos,
Then a couple of Whatsits because they don’t have Cheetos!
You feel the chilly wind in your hair as the afternoon rain sets in,
Well, that was an abrupt stop to our great game of badminton.
Finish one, two, three books in a day,
After reading, we’re back out to play!
That’s my daily routine of living in London,
What I do for another day there, just one!
We went to see Harry Potter, and the cursed child,
The spells, execution and adrenaline was all wild.
One actor went inside the clock and out came another,
The performance was flawless, impossible to uncover.
I sat in my seat in awe and glory,
I wanted there to be a part two of the story.
The other day we went to the arcade,
We played golf too, that was a fun escapade.
We played mini golf from hole one to nine,
It was really hard, I couldn’t hit the ball in even one straight line!
After a while, I finished the course,
Should I start hitting the ball with more force?
Then we went to the movies, inside out 2,
The movie was brand new.
I learned that you need all your emotions,
That is an important notion.
I wrote a reflection on it soon after,
I said it was full of happiness, love, and laughter.
Nando’s was my go to if I wanted to grab a quick bite,
Whether is was ten in the morning or ten in the night.
The weather was always a nice seventeen degrees,
With that statement, I don’t think my sister agrees.
She wears sweaters all year round, and can’t stand cold,
Her sitting in an air-conditioned room is very bold.
I rode a double-decker bus, it was my London dream,
Trust me, go on it, it’s as fun as it seems.
My sister took me to the mall to shop and drink Boba, all alone,
I can’t believe our parents let us do that, they really must think we’ve grown.
She bought me a plushy, and I hugged it all the way home,
It had fur, which I even used to comb!
Soon, we had to go back,
Can’t we take my family home in a sack?
When the day came, I couldn’t stop crying,
I really didn’t look forward to flying.
In London, more than than things I did, was the people I met,
This isn’t always an opportunity you get.
Next time you see your family, don’t take them for granted,
In your heart, those are the people who made love be planted.
That really was the best holiday ever,
Because my family was all together.
I can’t wait for the next time we come back again,
I am looking forward to it, well, until then!
Thank You!!
